I am a new sponsor of a young boy. When I received the informational packet, I noticed that he was referred to by different first names. Is there a way to find out which name is preferred when writing?

Usually the name on the front of the informational packet -- the one the child is referred to the most is their nickname/preferred name.  I also, in early letters, ask the child what name they prefer to be referred to by (Since my own kids can change their preferred name every few months)

Hi Michelle! What Sarah said is correct - usually, a child's nickname or preferred name will be what shows on the front of the packet. Even if it's different than their formal first name, it's the name they prefer to go by. :) Please let us know if you have any other questions!
