A few weeks ago I received a letter from one of my kiddos. On the way home, I stopped by my office (I work as a Children's Pastor) to do some work and to write my child back - we literally have the best pencils and I have always made it a priority to write a handwritten letter after I receive a letter, along with the letters I write online. There is just something about handwritten letters that communicate, "You are important in my life." :)
When I left my office, I forgot the precious letter that my child wrote me on my desk. The very next day it had disappeared (or possibly got placed in the envelope of the letter that I wrote that I deposited at the post office).
That said, I was distraught at the thought of losing one of these coveted letters. As most sponsors I guess, I look forward to these letters and am almost childish in the way I protect them and read them back over when I receive a new letter.
This bring me to the point of this post. I wish that there was some way to keep track on the website of all the letters the children have written to me, incase I accidentally send one back by mistake or another Katrina hits and we lose them.
PS: Thanks for the incredible work you guys do. I love partnering with you guys and advocate sponsorship every chance I get. I also use the letters to explain the process to prospective sponsors. :) God bless!
