Distribution of my India donations

When Compassion closes in India, please equally distribute my unused donations to all my other sponsor children, including correspondent children if possible.

Please add enough to make these funds $60 for every child if including the correspondent children.

I cannot afford an additional sponsorship long term at this time, and I sponsored an additional child in January when it looked like India would be closing, so please do not add an additional financial sponsorship to my account.

On a personal note, my little Vaibhavi was my first sponsor child and is only 5 years old. I love her very much and have kept her in my thoughts and prayers for years. I am heartbroken and worried. I'm praying she grows up loved and safe. If there is anything you can let me know about how the children in Vaibhavi's community will be taken care of going forward, please let me know in email format.

If they are withdrawling I just want my money back, I will not sponsor another child I have had to many issues and don't want to give another child hope. .

Hi Ruth, I am so sorry to hear that you will no longer be sponsoring with us. Regrettably, at this time, we have officially let our India sponsors know that we are closing. I have taken care of canceling your account for you, and have issued a refund for all funds that did not process through to India. Please know that if you decide to sponsor with us at a later time, we would be blessed to partner with you again.

I, too, am close to my child, Sharon. I worry about her growth educationally and otherwise. She was my first sponsor child. She's a lot like me at her age. I hate this. I want to keep in contact. It's important to me.

I also need to know if there are funds that never made it to my child, Prity. And at this time, to stop sponsorship to the program until I am ready to begin again. This has happened 3 times to me and I am concerned about how those children are handling a severing from the program. I have NOT, however, received anything stating my accont has been closed, from my child in India and need to know what is happening.

Hello, just a heads up. I have been waiting since 1/13/17 for my funds to be redistributed. Only reason I got was that they were backlogged.

Oh, I feel terrible, but you misunderstood.  I would like a refund for the portion that should have gone to India.  The other portion should stay where it was.

Rebecca, it will be returned directly back to your bank account, but it will take several weeks for that to happen most likely. Last we were updated, that department was six weeks behind in processing refunds due to the amount of them coming in because of Compassion having to pull out of India. I am so sorry that the wait may be that long, but I absolutely hope that it takes much less time for you to receive it back!

Hi Anna! Just to make sure I have this correct, are you talking about closing your account for your India child or for Olivier in Burkina Faso who you picked up in November?

I want to keep supporting Olivier, I want to close the account I had for Miriyam. If possible, could the payments that didn't get to Miriyam go to Olivier's payments for the next few months?

Hi Anna! I am taking care of this for you today :). I am able to actually move a total of $380 over to Oliver's monthly support, because we were last able to send donations to India in April. That will cover a total of ten month's of Oliver's support!
