I know that when a sponsor sends child gifts of $60 or more they receive a picture of their child and what was purchased... Does that happen with birthday and family gifts as well?

We gave a large monetary gift to one of our sponsored children and were told we would get a photo of that child with what they spent the money on. When should we expect to see that?

Hi Naptastik! Thank you so much for giving your sweet boy, Novandy, a birthday gift on November 2, 2016! Please know that your gift has greatly blessed Novandy. I'm so sorry that you have not received a thank you letter and picture from him yet. I completely understand wanting to know how your gift was used :). Regrettably, because of the time it takes to process, deliver, and use the gift you have given, it may take up to 6 months for you to receive a thank you letter and picture. I'm so sorry for the wait as I get how exciting it is to know how your gift was used. Please do let us know if you have not heard from your kiddo by May 2, 2017, and we will be happy to send an inquiry for you. Thank you so much for your understanding and patience!

I have sent 2 large gifts and never received a photo for either... so I wouldn't get your hopes up too high. I think it must depend on your child's center

Carleen, I'm so sorry for any disappointment you have felt because you have not received your thank you letter and picture yet from Rizza :(. Especially since she has recently left the program and moved away from the area, I completely understand why you would want to know how your gift has blessed your sweet girl. I see that you have given two gifts, one in August of 2016 and another in November of 2016. Since it may take up to 6 months to receive a thank you letter from your child, it is a bit too soon to send an inquiry for you. However, I have made a personal reminder to send an inquiry at the end of this month for the birthday gift you send in August. Regrettably, in this specific situation with your child leaving the program, I cannot guarantee that we will have a thank you letter written from your child. Sadly, in impoverished areas, it is very hard to keep up with a family once they move away from the area. Please know that our field staff to do the best they can. Thank you for letting us know, so we can help you with this. We appreciate your grace and patience.
