Our child was in the earthquake. You all sent us a letter saying that her village was hit, you didn't know what happened to her and her family, etc. We have heard nothing since that time. Is she alive? Is her family alive? Where is she living? Is she getting food and schooling? Please let us know what is happening. Thank you.

Thank you.  We pray that she and her family somehow survived this earthquake.  Apparently her village took a big hit and we haven't heard a word in weeks.  Please pray for Melany and her family.

Will do. That won't be hard to remember. I sponsor a Melany in Guatemala.

Oh, Linda! I'm deeply sorry for the worry and concern you have for your sweet Melany. Please rest assured that she, her family, and every child at her center is safe, accounted for, and were not directly impacted by the earthquake. Her center is just fine and they have resumed activities as normal :). Thank you so much for your care for her! Please know that in these types of situations, we always ensure that sponsors whose children were directly affected, are contacted. So no news is good news when disasters hit your child's area because we'll always contact you if your child was affected.

Again, I'm sorry for the worry this caused but I'm glad you reached out to us so that we could give you the good news that your sweet angel is safe and sound! Thanks for your continued prayers for those who were affected as we work to restore and rebuild in Ecuador!
