I am looking for information about what needs the Estrella de Belén Student Center in Ecuador has. I would like to make a gift to the community but would like to request something specific. Does each center have a wish list?

Hi Leigh! I appreciate your heart to support the Estrella de Belen Student Center! Each center does typically have a wish list and often they share these types of projects and aspirations in the letter from the center director or pastor. Regrettably, I could not find this center in our system. Do you happen to know the center number? It would be the first two letters and three digits of your child's number.

Susan, I never realized that we could give to a center until recently I have seen posts in this blog about that. In the past, when a need was mentioned in a pastor's letter, I never realized that we could actually contribute to that center if God so led us. Is this a well-kept secret? Or does Compassion welcome such gifts?

Hi Beth! We don't intend to keep project gifts a secret at all and would absolutely welcome any gifts donated for your child's center! Thank you so much for keeping the center in mind :). God absolutely uses project gifts as answers to prayer! For future reference, project gifts can be given in an amount between $100- $2,000.

Hi Leigh! Regrettably, there was not a wish list in the letter for this project. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I want to encourage you that whatever you feel led to give (if you choose), the project staff at EC436 will use it prayerfully and wisely.

Often times, we've seen project gifts used for better bathrooms, sturdier doors with locks on them to make the project more secure, desks, textbooks, and other wonderful and necessary things to improve the center.

I encourage you to pray about an amount that you should give. Know also that you'll get a thank you letter about six months after you send the gift, letting you know just how it was used to bless the children at the center :).
