Hello,
I received a letter mentioning that the child I sponsored for >10 years is no longer in the program. A new child from Ecuador has been proposed as a replacement, which I gladly accept.
However, is there no last letter from Elisha? I would like to know his last message & feelings on his future.
I find it also a pity that all history with Elisha (my letters) has been deleted from my account.
Please check and let me know...

Hello Samuel!

Thank you so much for your supporting Elisha for the past 10 years ! He has now successfully completed his time with Compassion! What a true blessing! Please know that I see that there is some sort of a final letter on its way to you. Please keep in mind that they are not always written by the child (adult now) but sometimes written by someone who worked closely with them if they were unable to write a final letter for any reason. Keep an eye out for that! :) If you would like, you may also write Elisha a final letter. Please write “Final Letter” across the top of the correspondence, along with your child's name and child's number, (TZ030800009). Please send your letter to Compassion's address below:

Compassion International
Colorado Springs, CO 80997

Furthermore, we do want you to know that we understand how much of a disappointment it is to have all of his pictures and letter history deleted from your account, as this is something our system does automatically and we are working on a solution so this does not continue to happen. If you would like, we would be happy to email you his photos we have on file and any of the letters that we have. (We will only have letters from May 2016-the present because that is when we began saving a copy in our new system). Please let us know if you think this would be helpful!

Additionally, thank you so much for your acceptance of your new child, Siliani. You should be receiving her welcome packet in the mail any day! :)

Dear Shannon,

Thank you so much for your nice and quick reply !
I'm looking forward to this letter that might have been delayed due to postal traffic.

As a Compassion sponsor of 3 children during the last >35 years (I was 25 when I started), I have a suggestion to make regarding sponsorship ending.

In many cases, we had contact with these children for over 10-12 years and a nice christian bond has been created through all the letters & drawings we received and sent.
Therefore, in order to make this transition more "smooth" rather than abrupt, I suggest that Compassion introduces a "Last year" flag in the system so that we both - child & sponsor - can prepare for this separation.

Concerning the last pictures and letters of Elisha, yes please, send them to me by email.

God bless you all for the work that is done for the children all over our planet.

Samuel

Hi Samuel,

I think this is a great idea! I know I have heard similar ideas before, but I am not sure if they have ever been sent in for consideration. I will pass this along to our leadership team! :)

Also, I have emailed these letters and pictures to you!

Please let us know if we can do anything else! Have a wonderful day!
