We have been sponsoring a child in the Dominican Republic for years now and wonder about family gifts. We want to make a difference in their lives and we would need to save money to do this, the question is the cost of those things that can help them.
I have read the article online that tells about the family that was helped through gifts and that has inspired me to reach out more to her family as she is 14 now and eventually we will not be able to help this family anymore.
Our last letter brought me to tears as I have seen her grow and flourish with what seems so little. That fact that we played a part in her growth even if from afar leads me to believe there is much more we could do for her family which will also impact her.
Help us to see what is out there for them and how we can help them achieve beyond their current circumstances. I believe we have just scratched the surface.
