I want to send my sponsored child's family a gift. Do I have the option of sending them a gift of livestock like we did for Christmas? Or is Money the only way to send gifts?

You can only send your sponsored child monetary gifts and paper items. Just to clear things up, if you got a gift out of Compassion's Gift Catalouge for Christmas, it did not go to your sponsored child. The livestock would have gone to someone in Compassion's program, but not necessarily your child.

I believe the way it works is that the money gift you send to your childs family is used to buy what they are in need of the most at the time, which means it could be spent on anything from clothes to food. I've even seen a picture someone shared online of a family who bought a chest of drawers.
