Right now I am only supporting a child. Is there a way to switch from only supporting my child for $38 to supporting my child and their family?

While the monthly $38/month does support one child there are options to help the family as a whole as well. You have the option of sending a family gift ($25-$1000)This can be a huge blessing to a family ( http://blog.compassion.com/child-spon... ) Also, the children's families are helped indirectly because the children take what they learn and educate their families. Hey Christina, thanks for your desire to sponsor your child's family. That is so awesome that you want to do that. Regrettably, we do not have a program to support an entire family. As Kristen said, you are welcome to bless your child's family with family gifts throughout the year. The family will get 100% of the gift that you give. Also know, that because of your support of the child, the family will still be impacted as a whole. Many of the projects have classes and programs for the parent's. And your child will bring home all that they are learning and share it with their family.

Here is apost about financial gifts: http://www.bloggingfromtheboonies.com... In our experience, they have been a BIG blessing to the children we sponsor!
