I just got another kid at the last Compassion Sunday event our church held, and I was thinking it would be nice if there was a way to sign up online. Like if we could enter our kids' ID on the Compassion website and we could add them right there and then (or scan in some sort of unique QR code on their phone which could bring up that child's information.) And/or autofill in the fields with our sponsor ID number because all that basic information would be on our account already. I just like the idea of being able to see a child's packet and start sponsoring them that same day, rather than having to fill out the form and send it in by mail. I think it might encourage more people to take action immediately too, if they had that opportunity.

Note that even when you sponsor online, the child does not show up on your account right away.  I  had one online sponsorship take about 10 days to show on my account. However I do believe there is a way to start the sponsorship online from a packet, or at the least you could contact socialmedia at compassion dot com for help with this.

Hello Sarah! I am sorry that it took so long for your online sponsorship to show up on the account. Typically these are now processed within 24 to 48 hours. So, hopefully moving forward you won't have to wait that long.
