I just received my first letter. I know in the FAQ it mentions that the children sometimes don’t know how to spell their name. The name of my child is Denisse Miranda Mera. In her letter to me, it looks like she says her name is Leonela. Should I address the rest of my letters to “Leonela” or “Denisse”? It is just so far from any of her listed names.

There was no translation for my letter. I’ll use google translate to read her answers.

I am very happy to receive my first letter!

Thank you!

Good morning Ellen,

I am so very sorry to see that your very first letter from your sweet young lady came through without translation! Please know that I am sending this back through to the translation queue for you to ensure you get a fully translated letter! I am so sorry for the delay on this!
Secondly, we do not have the name Leonela listed on her profile at all. Sometimes our children will change their preferred name without telling us. I would ask her in your next letter how she would like to be addressed. :)

Same thing with me. All 3 of my sponsored children have the wrong translations on them.

Tracey, it looks like you called earlier and we have sent inquiries to get the correct translations for all of your children. Please know that we are aware of this issue in our system and are working hard to fix it so that the correct translations are attached to letters. We sincerely apologize for this issue and the inconvenience it has caused!

Not a problem! I actually posted this comment before I chatted with a representative. I appreciate all of the help. The gentleman that I chatted with, online, was very nice and helpful.
