I recently started sponsoring a child and I was wondering whether I should send the first letter or wait for him to write me first. I quite want to write to him, but if he sends me a letter first I want to make sure to respond to the things he tells me about and not ignore what he says. I started sponsoring him a little under three weeks ago, if that helps any.

Send a letter! Your child will love hearing from you :)

What I like to do is send a first letter (like an intro letter all about my life with a photo) when I sponsor a child. Then I write monthly on topics (whether it is holidays, seasons, virtues, etc). And whenever I get a letter, I respond to it!

If you ever hear a formerly sponsor child's story, you will know that the letters make all the difference! Your new kiddo will absolutely love to hear from you!!
