Can I send origami bookmarks to my child? and if so will they receive the actual item? Also can I send small paper cutouts that are not attached to anything? or do they have to be big enough for the sponsor/child information?

Hi Lex,
You should be able to send origami bookmarks to your child. I'm not sure if they will receive the original item. The paper cut out has to be big enough for the child/sponsor information.

Hi Lex,
That is not a dumb question. You probably can't send confetti in the letter.

Hi Lex,
My child lives in Guatemala. I'm actually a correspondent sponsor. Do you sponsor a boy or girl?

Hi Lex!
I wanted to clarify a little for you. We are so thankful for your desire to send items to your child! :) To be completely honest though, I highly doubt that an origami bookmark will go through. If it truly is a bookmark, that you have made out of paper, it should go through just fine, but if it looks like a paper gift and not a bookmark, it will not go. Also, It will only be sent physically if it is a bookmark, and not seen as a paper item. All items that you send must be larger than a business card. I hope that is helpful!:)
Secondly. we would be honored to have you correspond with a child! We would be happy to add you to our correspondent wait list. Do you have any preference on age, gender, or country?

Awesome! Thank you! I would like an older female child. I don't have a preference on country.

Also can I laminate the bookmarks? I have looked on Compassion's Pintrest and gotten ideas from there but apparently not all are fitting to the regulations? Sorry, this is my first time sponsoring. :)

Hi Lex! I have placed your request for an older female from any country on the correspondent waiting list :). As soon as we are able to place a child matching your preferences on your account, we will send you this child's welcome booklet in the mail. I encourage you to please not laminate your bookmarks. I definitely understand that laminating your bookmarks would ensure they would stay nice much longer; however, we would not be able to guarantee it would go through. If your bookmark has any writing on it, it must first be scanned for translation purposes before being sent physically. Lamination would make it impossible or incredibly difficult to put through our scanners. I also encourage you to check out our gift guidelines on our website :). Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a blessed day!
