I was at the Fresh Grounded Faith event in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday, October 6th. I was excited to sponsor a child. I asked the lady at the table if I turned in my credit card information that day if it could NOT be charged until November 4th. I even wrote that information on the card! She repeatedly assured me that my card would NOT be charged until November 4th. Well, guess what! It was charged TODAY!!!!! So, now I have to pay a overdraw fee with my bank. I am NOT happy about this. I told her if the card was charged before the November date there would NOT be enough money in the account to cover the charge. The child I chose is Prenam Louise Sogoyou from Togo. This has truly left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hi Becky,
I am truly so sorry for what happened! The vast majority of people working at events like this are actually volunteers and I am sure this person just didn't know. I truly apologize for their misinformation.

I do see that we were unable to pull these funds, so the charge did not actually go through. However, we would be more than happy to pay you for the overdraft fee if we did cause this. Please email us a copy of your charge to your account and we can help you with this from there. We also want to make sure to put this child on hold as well for you, but will first need to create an account for you. Can you please include in your email your full name, address, and phone number? This will allow us to place the child on hold so that you can begin in November as asked.

Again, I am so sorry for what happened and that this incident has left a negative taste in your mouth. We would love to opportunity to fix this for you and pray that we can do that!

Our email is Thank you!
