My 9 and 11 year old boys just finished Lesson 1, Part 1 of the Christian Homeschool Curriculum. After the lesson, they each went through the house and yard to find what we would consider trash/recycleables and then added just some yarn, tape and markers and to each create their own game. I video taped each one telling about their game and had them write a brief summary on the back of their map of Africa. We all had fun and learned alot. It really made the boys think about how they would play if they had no toys or even appropriate clothing. Thank you for helping me help my boys understand different cultures and issues that face them. But most important is for them(and everyone) to know that the love of Jesus is the same for everyone and that He gives us all gifts and talents and that the saving power of Jesus has nothing to do with us or our country of origin, homes, clothes, toys or skin color. It is only because He loves us so much. Let's keep getting that Word out and these lessons are a great way to do it!!!
