We would love to send a gift to our correspondence child, Ashim. Would this be possible? Also, can you let me know if he or his family have received any gifts in the past from their financial sponsor?

Thanks,
Connie

p.s. We would gladly pick up Ashim’s sponsorship if his financial sponsor ever finds themselves unable to continue! Would we be given that opportunity? Thank you!

Hello C Sanders! Thank you so much for your generous heart for Ashim! Yes, you are able to send a gift to a correspondent child, and Ashim has received two gifts in the past. What type of gift would you like to send to him and for how  much? We can make note that you would also like to pick Ashim's sponsorship up should his  sponsor cancel the sponsorship, which I will do for you today.

Thank you! Can you email me privately let me know what gifts he’s received in the past (& when)? I’d love to have context. And thank you so much for making a note on his file & getting back to me!

I would love to send a gift to my correspondence child, Esthela. How much is the amount I can give in minimum? Also, can you let me know if she or her family have received any gifts in the past from their financial sponsor? How do I go about it since I am from the Philippines? Is it possible to use my credit/debit card for this?

Thanks for helping enlighten me.
Emie

Hi Emie,
Thank you so much for your kind heart to want to bless Esthela with a gift! :) You may give two child gifts each year in the amount of $10-$100, and you may send gifts to the family of $25 to $1,000 (not to exceed $1,000 each year). The local Compassion staff will meet with the family when the gift is delivered to help them decide how the money should be spent and guide them in using the money wisely. Please be aware that Compassion will utilize 10% of your individual child-gift donation for the ministry's administration and program delivery costs of the gift. You will receive a thank you letter, approximately six months from when the gift was given, to let you know what was purchased. Also, if you happen to send a gift of $60 or more, the family will send you a picture of what was purchased!

I see that Esthela's financial sponsor does have an annual birthday gift set up. However, if you would still like to give a gift, I know it would be a huge blessing to her.

I think the easiest way for us to assist you with making this donation is to add your credit or debit card online on your My Account and then authorize us to go in and charge your card for the gift. Please just let us know how much you would like to give. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi Emie! You are able to give a child gift to your correspondent anywhere between $10 and $100 up to two times per year as well as a family gift between $25 - $1000 per year. She does receive an annual gift from her current sponsor, which was set up this year. You can absolutely use your credit or debit cards. We would need your information on file in order to process that gift as you won't be able to give a gift to a correspondent online. If you log into your online account, you can click on "Payment Methods" on the left side of your Account Summary screen. You will see an option to "Add A Payment Method", which will give you the ability to add your card to your account so that we can set up a gift for your child. Once you do that, let us know and we can process a gift for you.
