I just received the stationary to write my sponsored child in India a final letter on Thursday, so hopefully you'll be getting yours soon. It was only for my sponsored child and not my correspondent children in India. The stationary also came with a long letter explaining the situation and the options for sponsors to transfer their sponsorship to a new child, get a refund, or have the sponsorship money they already donated be transferred to another fund. If you want to choose a new child to sponsor from the website, I guess there's supposed to be an option to choose (I think under the how did you hear about us tab) that says replacement sponsorship for sponsored child in India.

Hi Bree! If you don't receive that stationary by the end of today either by mail or email, please let me know and I will send you the PDF version of it! We are going to be offering new children to India sponsors. You can either wait for that packet to come in the mail or you are able to also go online and sponsor a new child if you would rather do that! If you choose a new child online, there's an extra step in your "checkout process". You should see a question titled "What prompted you to sponsor a child today?" under the new child's photo. In the drop down box, please select the "India Sponsor" option and continue with the process of sponsoring the new child. We will be able to process the sponsorship for you easily then and not also send you a packet if you do it that way :). Please let me know if you have any trouble or further questions!

We selected a new child online (Simon), noting the India sponsor option. Wondering what the projected timeline would be for the new child to be added to our online account?

The reason I ask is that we chose to sponsor an additional child (Eduardo) at the same time, and he is already showing up on our account. I'm assuming that is because it is less complicated to add a new child than to transfer sponsorships. Just want to make sure that our India child transfer went through correctly.  (02408491)

Thank you for all of your time, patience, and support in answering these questions and assisting Compassion children!

Maria, yes, it sounds like the delay is due to the transfer from the Indian child. I can see that Eduardo's sponsorship is pending but I regrettably cannot see the reason. I trust it will go through soon.

Will correspondents to children in India also get a chance to write a final letter? My parents sponsored a child there and received their information a few weeks ago, but I haven't gotten anything yet about my correspondence child.
