Haven't heard any news about our sponsored child at all. We have been sponsoring for about four months now and have sent two letters.

Michael, I am so sorry that you haven't heard from your child yet :(. If you've been sponsoring for four months, you should have absolutely heard from him or her by now. I'd like to look into this for you, but I cannot find an account with the email address you provided. Do you know your sponsor number or the child's ID number?

I have the same problem. My sponsor children Luis and Lucas(sponsored since November) haven't written me and I have sent 2 letters. My sponsor number is 7194766. I just feel discouraged as my other child writes me, but these two haven't and I feel like they don't really appreciate the sponsorship. I know this isn't the case but I still feel discouraged. Thanks!

I, also, started sponsoring in November (end of October but officially put on my account Nov 11.)  I have not seen her introduction letter yet though I've sent 5 at this point. (3 letters, 1 Christmas card and 1 card filled out at the Compassion Experience)  HOWEVER, I know they have 4 months to get the introduction letter to us.  Which means -- March 11 is 4 months from Nov 11. So there is yet time to go for the first letter to get here.  After that, it is 6 months from last contact. If you have not heard in that time, Compassion will make an inquiry to push things along.  I hope that having letters in the pipeline means that replies will come at least somewhat more regularly once they get started. But time will tell.

Hi Madison! I actually responded to the question you had about Luis and Lucas previously, but I don't know if you saw my answer or not. It can actually take up to four months to receive the first letter from your children after sponsoring them. I can see that both children have received the stationary for them to write their first letter on, so you should receive these letters within the next two months once they are returned to the country offices and processed! Please know that they both appreciate the sponsorship more than you may ever know. Having a sponsor is something the children look forward to, because they feel so encouraged to know that someone is praying over them personally, encouraging them with letters, and loves them dearly. I know it's hard to wait, but please hang in there for a little longer while we get these letters processed.
