I am a Youth Corper , currently undergoing a mandatory One-year national service as is required for Graduates in Nigeria (NYSC).

Over the course of the past few months, I have been opportuned to witness first-hand the unappealing conditions in which school kids are studying as well as living. I have since embarked on couple of Projects namely Refurbishment of the Library (donation of books too), I have been lucky to secure generous donations from Indigenous book publishing houses, published Authors, bookstores and some book donor agencies.

My current Project is trying to solicit First Aid kits and mosquito nets to stem the tide of avoidable Injuries and illnesses witnessed here on almost daily basis. In a rural State such as this (Edo State,Nigeria)... there's little or no government intervention. I humbly seek your support to donate items to these kids.

I am available via olagamalin@gmail.com to respond to all enquiries. I am also ready to verify the authenticity of my story to clarify any doubt on your part. Thank you

Hi Olayiwola,
Thank you for your email regarding assistance from Compassion International. We very much appreciate your desire to help those in need in Nigeria. Unlike a relief and development agency, Compassion International is a non-profit, child development agency that works with existing church-based organizations. The funds that we receive are donated from sponsors for individual children in Compassion-assisted projects to provide for their educational, health and nutritional needs. It is our policy to register children ages nine and under into our program. Compassion is not currently working in Nigeria, nor do we have plans to expand there in the near future. Regrettably, we do not have access to additional funds to help with outside ministries nor can we recommend any specific organizations that might. We want to thank you for the love and concern that you have for those who are in need in Nigeria. We pray that God will bless your efforts to minister to them. Have a wonderful day!
