I'm not staff and they probably won't answer you until Monday, but I can let you know that no news is good news.  It takes awhile for them to process the information but some is starting to come out now as I recently had an email that my boy in Haiti lost his school supplies and his family lost their primary income source in the hurricane :( There are so many kids they can't contact everyone in an affected country but they WILL tell you if your child is affected, hence the no news is good news.

You can also follow the crisis report page that will update as they get updates.  https://www.compassion.com/where-we-work/crisis-updates.htm?_ga=2.6758644.730694525.1496329181-38845...

Hi Aebfraz! I took a look at our list of children who have been affected in Haiti and did not see that Peterson has put on that list as of this morning. As the staff and Haiti continue to check on each individual child and update that list for us, we do contact the sponsors as soon as we have information that their child was affected. If you don't hear from us regarding Peterson being affected, you can rest assured that he is ok :). Keep praying for his community though as I am sure it must be so hard for them to go through disasters as often as Haiti does.
