My child says she has a New Testament of her own, but I would like to give her a full Bible because all of it is God breathed. I am wondering how to send her the Bible, or if I should give money to compassion, and you deliver it.

Good request! I'm interested in finding out if our children who have reported that they have a Bible actually have only a New Testament. I appreciate you bringing this up and will "follow" your post to see what answer you receive. Blessings --a fellow sponsor

Hi Rachel! Thank you so much for your desire for your child to hear the full Gospel! We definitely agree that the entire Bible is God-breathed and teaching the whole Bible is so important!

Every child in our program receives an age appropriate Bible. However, depending on resources and cultural context, our staff may provide a portion of the Bible (such as the New Testament). Please be assured that the children will be taught the entire Bible and have access to the entire Bible at their Compassion center. They will be taught Bible lessons from both the Old and New Testament, and will learn memory verses from the Old and New Testament.

If you would like to gift a Bible to your child, however, you can certainly send your child a general gift. This gift will be used to purchase an item your child needs. If you reach out to us by phone, we are able to add a note to your gift that you would like it to be used for a complete Bible. The staff at your child's Compassion center will take this into account when purchasing the item for your child, but we cannot guarantee that it will be used to purchase a Bible depending on your child's specific situation.

Our phone number is 800-336-7676. We are available to serve you Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5:30 pm, Mountain Time. If you have any other questions, please let us know!
