How come you can't use Chat to talk to a representative of Compassion

  • feeling frustrated that I can't click on the chat button and get a compassion representative because sometimes I am hard to understand

Hi Stephen, the chat is unavailable on the weekends. I have used the chat feature before and it works well. 
You can use this forum here, or you can email Compassion (socialmedia@compassion.com) if you'd like to contact them about something and they can get back to you after the weekend. I completely understand not liking to call, because I don't like to talk on the phone either :)

But I can't use Monday through Friday since before the update of the site and still can't use it now

Last time I talked to them they said they will be concentrating on learning how to use the new system. Until then no chatroom available.

Hi Stephen! We have been concentrating on the new system as Jenny has mentioned. The previous system we were using had been around for quite some time, and it takes a while for representatives to get familiar and comfortable enough to start handling several accounts at one time the way they do in chat. We are still seeing high call volumes that we must be able to handle before we start opening up chat again. We're happy to answer any questions you have through this forum or through email at socialmedia@compassion.com though! We usually respond within 24 hours :).

Hi Mallory! I'm so sorry that our chat feature is still unavailable. In January, we made our largest system transition in Compassion's history, and, sadly, there have been some bumps along the way. Until we are able to respond to chats with the level or service we strive for, we will not be able to provide this service. Please know that we are working diligently to take care of our backlogs and resolve issues as they arise as soon as possible.
