I have recently been laid off of my job and I'm only 18 years old. I love this experience and I thought I could handle it on my own, but I'm in a bind with my financial situation. I absolutely do not want to cancel my sponsorship, so is there anything at all that can help until I get back on my feet and get a new job?
God bless

Jaelyn, the Compassion staff that monitor this forum will help you after the weekend. I just wanted to say I said a prayer for you and your situation. God bless you and thank you for sponsorship!

Jaelyn, I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through some financial struggles. Getting back on your feet and gaining a new job after being laid off is not easy. I pray that God blesses you and gives you favor in finding a new job. God is always faithful to provide! We would love to help you keep your precious girl, Gina, so Compassion would be happy to cover a few months' support for you. This means we would cover the months of August through October, and you could resume your support in November. This would be our gift to you; you would not need to reimburse Compassion. If this option would help, please let me know and I'll take care of this for you. If now, and you would like your sponsorship cancelled, please reply to this email with that instruction. Thank you for your love for Gina and for this ministry!

That would be a great help if it could get covered until October. Thank you all so much.
