Unfortunately, due to a relocation and job change, my finances have significantly decreased and I need to make Marinelys (sponsor ID 3562139) available to another sponsor. I do not know how long I will be in this position so I cannot commit to any of the other options. I will continue to pray for Marinelys and her family.

Hi Lexie. I am sorry to hear your financial circumstances have changed significantly. I have made John and Marinelys available to other sponsors. Thank you for continuing to pray for them. I know that your sponsorship was a huge blessing to each of them! They will be able to remain in the program and participate in all activities while we search for another sponsor for them.

We will be praying for you as you settle down in a new home and at a new job. May the Lord bring you encouraging, new friends and a love for your new home. God knows every detail of your needs and of your life! I pray that you would feel His love wrapping around you in the midst of hard times :).

Hi! I'm a college student going into nursing and my funds are pretty tight right now. I don't want to have to cancel my sponsorship, but I can not afford it right now. What do I need to do to have it canceled? Gabby

Gabby, I understand that money is tight as a student, especially as a nursing student when you are strapped for time as well. As you requested, I have made Tayaporn available for another sponsor. Best wishes as you continue your education! :)

I understand that if I cancel my sponsorship, that my child will continue to be supported though another program that y'all have. Will there be any difference in the level of funding that he receives? I don't want to take away anything that is already being provided to him when I cancel. I hate that I cannot afford to continue funding my child through compassion, but nursing school really does take away all of your free time along with all of your work time! I am currently talking to the Women's Ministry at my church to see if they would be interested in continuing my sponsorship, but if they cannot, I want to make sure that Iranzi will continue to receive the same funding until a new sponsor is found.

Thank you,

Jordan

Jordan, the only difference is that your child will not receive the letters that a sponsor sends. Other than that, all of the benefits the child receives will be the same, thanks to the unsponsored children's fund.

Hi Jordan! Kristen is correct; Iranzi will still be able to receive all the benefits of Compassion's program at his project. The only thing he won't receive is letters. We completely understand how nursing school can drain your finances! You have been such a blessing to Iranzi over the last year. I know he will forever be grateful to you! :) Please let me know if I need to transfer his sponsorship to the women's ministry at your church, or cancel the sponsorship completely.

I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly, I could not find anywhere to go on how to cancel my sponsorship. I don't want a temporary hold on payment, we are experiencing major financial problems and need to permanently cancel.

Cristen, I am so sorry to hear that you are faced with such a difficult decision. I am not sure exactly what your situation is but we do have some options that may be able to help if you think that things might turn around in the near future. For example, we would be happy to cover three months of support for you and then lower your support amount to $19 for six months. Please let me know if this would help. If not, we will make Antonio available for another sponsor.

I hate to do this, but I have to cancel my sponsorship of Farque Hossain.  I have loved sponsoring him, but unfortunately over the past several months my life has been turned upside down and my finances are an absolute mess.

My father was the one making the payments until he lost his job, and then switched the account to my name without telling me. I have no way to make the payments, and I need my child to be put back up for sponsorship.

Hi Carmen. I am so sorry to hear you are going through such difficult financial problems. Would it help you if I could cover your donations from October through December and reduce your rate to $19 a month from January through June? You would still be able to sponsor Riziki and write letters to her during that time. Please let me know if that would help. Otherwise, I will honor your request and put Riziki up for sponsorship again.

Sarah, thank you for the year that you have invested in Selam and Ruth, impacting their lives in such a tangible way. We are so grateful for the time that you supported them financially and in prayer.

I understand if you're unable to maintain your sponsorship of them while you're in school and I have made them available for other sponsors, today. God bless you as you study hard this semester and know you're always welcome to sponsor with us again in the future :).

I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling financially, Amanda :(. We definitely don't want you to be stressed or worried about donations if you're unable to right now and want you to be sure to take care of yourself.

Ass requested, I have made your child available for another sponsor today. I pray that your situation improves and if you're ever interested in sponsoring another child with us at any point; we'll be so blessed to partner with you again!

I need to cancel my sponsorship due to a job loss. My child is Jordy EC4411090 and my sponsor #3629964. I would appreciate you finding him a new sponsor. I need to worry about feeding my own children right now. I also do not appreciate how hard you have made it to cancel my sponsorship, shouldn't we be able to provide for our own families first?

Tabitha, I am so sorry you are going through such a hard time with a job loss. We will, as Adam said, be praying for you to find another job and for God to provide for your family! I have made Jordy available for sponsorship again. Our intention is not to make it difficult for you to end a sponsorship. We are often able to help sponsors out financially so they don't have to end the sponsorship, which is why we ask that you contact us to cancel.

Hello, my sponsor number is 3324429, and my child is named Pansilu. I am embarrassed to say I am three months behind on my sponsorship payments, and the payment I made at the beginning of this month to catch up plus pay for Christmas just bounced at my bank (I thought it had already gone through days ago) and now I have an overdraft charge on top of everything else. The reason for all this happening is that my 5 year old has serious respiratory issues, takes multiple daily meds and is frequently hospitalized, and we have lost her Medicaid coverage because my husband got a minor raise at work and now we "make too much", and are now paying hundreds a month out of pocket that we absolutely cannot afford. Our budget is wrecked and we are extremely stressed. We are trying to appeal so she can be covered as a "medically needy child" but I'm not sure what will happen. Pansilu, our sponsored child, also has respiratory issues (asthma), and I hate to think of him not receiving care, food, education, or even Christmas presents. Is there anything that can be done even though we are so far behind on payments? I have no way to make a payment this month, as it stands I just spent another $200 on prescriptions and after the overdraft charge from my bounced Compassion check I now have about $20 in the bank.

Thank you both very much! This has been an unbelievably stressful few months. I am relieved that Pansilu has been receiving care. I will take you up on your offer, Sarah! We would love to continue sponsoring him. And I received a call from my daughter's caseworker, we *may* have a light at the end of the tunnel as far as getting her healthcare covered soon, but it will take a lot of paperwork and prayers. Thank you for your prayers, they are much appreciated!

Good morning, Erin!

Wow, I can definitely imagine how stressful these last few months have been for you and it sounds like you still have a bit of a road ahead but I'm believing God is going to provide for and take care of your family. He is so faithful and cares so deeply for you and your family.

Sarah updated your account the day she spoke with you so that you wouldn't have to worry about support for the rest of the year. Regrettably, coming in Monday morning, your support had successfully processed the donation that your bank told you bounced. I'm worried that this impacted you negatively as you mentioned you were receiving overdraft charges. This brought your support for your boy current through March 31, 2016 along with the generous Christmas donation you made.

I want to refund this to you because you had said you don't have the finances right now to make that donation or this months. However, I wanted to double check with you before requesting a refund into your account in case you had discussed the issue with your bank over the weekend and approved the donation to go through.

Please let me know if you'd like me to refund this back to you so that you have that extra money to help with the medical bills you're experiencing right now, or if you'd like us to keep it on your support and keep your account current through the end of march.

We truly are so sorry that you're going through so much and are praying for relief for your situation.

I don't see the charge on my bank account but I do see another overdraft charge. :( I had deposited enough money to pay a bill that was coming through, which does show that it was paid thankfully, but now with the overdrafts we are in the negative. After my posts here last week, my husband was hospitalized last weekend with heart issues (probably caused by stress) and while he is doing ok now and on medication, we could still use prayers.

Hi Erin! I submitted a request to refund your donation. You should see your account credited within the next week or so. I am so sorry for all the overdraft fees you have been charged. Hopefully this refund will help!  We are absolutely praying for your family and have faith that God will bring you through this and provide for your needs. :) Please let us know if we can do anything else for you and your family during this time.

I regretfully need to cancel my sponsorship of Manik Das Sagor (Child ID: BD2240236) due to an unexpected (but blessed!) pregnancy, and job/financial complications. I am several months behind in payments and will not be able to catch them up at any point and time. I hate to have to do this, but there is no way that we can spare the funds. Could you please make him available for sponsorship again?

Hi Marissa. I am so sorry you need to end Manik's sponsorship. It sounds like you have a lot going on right now and we absolutely want you to be able to take care of yourself and the baby :). I have put Manik up for sponsorship again. He will still be taken care of in the program while we find another sponsor for him. We would love to partner with you again if you have the ability to do so in the future! I will be praying for your financial situation and for your pregnancy to go smoothly :).

Hi Nathanael. I am so sorry you need to end your sponsorship of Abesh! You have been such a blessing to him over the last year. I can put him back up for sponsorship, but before I do that, I have a few options that may help you continue with him. I can completely cover his sponsorship from October through December. If it would help, I can also reduce your sponsorship rate to $19 a month from January through June. This is a gift from Compassion; you would not need to repay it at any point. Please let me know if that would help you continue to bless him with your sponsorship.

Brent and Heather, my heart breaks that you've had to make such a difficult decision :(. I pray that God would embrace your family during this hard time and that you would be covered in His grace and peace knowing that you can trust in Him.

I have regretfully made Bobi available for another sponsor today but please know that your love and support for the past six years has changed her life and blessed her in countless ways. You're welcome to write her a final letter to say goodbye if you wish to do so. Just mail it with the words 'Final Letter,' written at the top. We'll be sure to get it to Bobi for you.

I know you care deeply for her and I don't know your situation but it sounds like this was not your first choice to discontinue. We are so grateful for you and I pray that your circumstances improve quickly.
