Hi, my name is Cherie Miller. I am 17 and sponsoring three kids, but recently I’ve been having a really hard time keeping up with the payments and afraid that I am going to have to stop sponsoring two of the children. How do I go about that process?

Hi Cherie! I appreciate that you have a heart to help children in need. You are an awesome young lady for taking on three sponsorship's at only 17! I have stopped your automatic recurring contribution for you. If you would like to continue with all three children, but need some temporary assistance, I would be happy to help. I can pause your monthly contribution for all three children for three months, this would take care of February, March and April completely. Then I can set up a reduced rate for an additional three months to cover May, June and July. For these three months instead of $114, I can reduce the rate to $57. The normal rate of $114 would not resume until August. This way, you can have a little time to save and figure out a budget. If this will help, please let me know. Otherwise, I can continue to process the cancellation request for you. If you do decide that you need to cancel, please tell me which two children you would like me to cancel for you.

Sadly, I think that for the time being, I will continue with my cancelation. The two children I would like to unsponsor are Albert and Kena. Do you need their ID numbers? I wasn’t sure if I should post them publicly or not.

Cherie, no need to post them. I was able to locate your account and have cancelled your sponsorship of Albert and Kenia. Thank you so much for your honesty in telling us where you are at. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
