Hello Rosanne, I am happy to help you! Regrettably, I am not able to provide all the detailed information you are asking for due to privacy and security guidelines, but I am able to tell you that your child’s church is called Bago Christian Reformed Church. Compassion works with local evangelical churches to minister to beneficiaries and caregivers in poverty. It is the vision, commitment and capacity of the church partners that will ultimately determine the effectiveness of the ministry to beneficiaries. Therefore, it is essential to select partners who demonstrate certain qualities, and it is necessary to have clear criteria and a clear process. The selection of a church partner must be done prayerfully and with a mind-set of long-term commitment to each other. Although I am not able to give you the specific sermon information being taught at Johanna’s church, please rest assured that the compatibility of the church's doctrine with Compassion's Statement of Faith and a positive view of the role of the local church is a prerequisite. In addition, Johanna is participating in the following spiritual activities as a part of the program: age-graded workshops, Bible dramas, Bible study and drills, discipleship classes, evangelism, playing instruments, prayers groups, retreats, singing, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, etc. If you would like to know specifically what Johanna is learning, I strongly encourage you to ask her in your next letter. This is often the best way to learn more about your kiddo and what she is learning! Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Have a blessed day!
