We understand that Compassion has projects beyond child sponsorship that need funding. How do we find out about them and options for giving? Do you have any specifically in the DR?

Hi Dyann and John,

Thank you so much for your interest in donating to one of the Compassion projects! This is so special! Regrettably, we do not have a list of projects with needs. We would encourage you to just choose a project you feel led to donate to in your heart. Many of the sponsors who choose to donate to a project do so typically because one of their kiddos attend that project, and sometimes the child will even share the needs of their project in a child letter. However, Compassion does not have a list of projects in need, as they all could use some additional help. We have lots of projects in the DR. If you would like, we can certainly look up projects in a certain area if that is where your heart is leading you!

I may be mistaken, but I thought the original poster was referring to projects in the more general sense, such as complementary intervention projects or perhaps some of the other funds like medical assistance or disaster relief.

That's a good point, Jennifer. Dyann and John, were you referring to physical centers (which we call projects), or projects with a certain purpose or aim, like our HIV/AIDS or WaSH fund (we call those funds)?
