My child wrote me in his letters that he has health problems. He said that he can ́t memorize, and he has school problems. So I don ́t know what is happening with him, maybe he has a brain problem or he is taking medicine or no.
I received a letter about his medical checkup, but it doesn ́t say anything about it.
He is 8 years old and he doesn ́t write his letters, all of them have been written by his teachers, so I guess he can ́t write or read.
How do I have information about his health? Please answer me.

You can ask in your letters to him. To protect the child's privacy, Compassion cannot release medical information on your child. However you can ask your child about his medical issues and how you can pray for him. If he feels comfortable elaborating more, I'm sure his tutor will do their best to convey what's happening.

Hi Gabyta! I’m so sorry to hear of the concerns you have about your kiddo caused by his letters :(. We feel strongly that the dignity of the children and families in our programs needs to be protected. Our children have a choice of whether or not they would like to share specific information about their family dynamics, psychological health, or medical information with their sponsor. If your kiddo chooses to share sensitive information with you in a letter that is their choice, and you are welcome to ask them for more information in a reply letter as Kristen has suggested :). If they feel comfortable sharing more information they will. If not, then I encourage you to pray and our Heavenly Father knows the situation. Please rest assured that our amazing field staff are really good at tending to the needs of the children in our programs. They are trained in how to respond to these needs, and it is in the local budget so they can respond immediately. Thank you so much for the love and concern you have for your precious boy. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Have a blessed day!

Another thing, Gabyta. It is not uncommon for kids in that age range to not be writing their own letters yet. I have a very bright girl in Indonesia, who is almost 7, and doesn't write her own letters yet.
