How do I know if my child's letter was received by compassion? When will I receive my first letter and has it been sent out yet?

Hi, I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but is there a way to tell if my letter specifically has been received by Compassion and when/if I should expect to hear back from my sponsored child? Do they wait to receive the first letter before sending one back to their sponsor? I don't see anything on my account/the website about this, but I've sent two already.(I realized I didn't really tell her about myself when I wrote the one letter and it was kind of generic)  I'm most curious about the first letter, as it was sent by mail and I'm hoping it was to the correct specifications because I didn't see that there was a 1/4" limit on the envelopes and I'm concerned it might have been slightly larger.  What happens if it was too large?  I had a few folded sheets of paper in an envelope along with photographs and a few sheets of stickers. (I think I saw somewhere that those were okay to include in the letters?)  I sent it out a week ago, so it should've made it to Colorado by now, I would think...

Hi Charleen! Welcome to Compassion! It looks like you just started supporting Rizza from the Philippines. Thank you so much for investing in her life!

Rizza will write an introduction letter once she finds out that you have sponsored them. This typically happens within the first month of sponsorship. It also currently takes about two to three months for letters to be sent. This means that you can expect that first letter within the first four months of sponsorship.

We received your first letter and attachments for Rizza yesterday and sent it on to her. Yes, you are more than welcome to send photos and stickers. In addition, the size guidelines do not apply to the envelope they were sent in. As long as the items themselves (unfolded) were under 1/4" thick and 8 1/2" by 11," they will get through just fine. :)
