How do I know the things I send go to my child. He has not referenced anything I've sent to him.

I'm not staff and I'm sure someone that works from Compassion can help you soon, but if you are sending stickers it will take longer for your child to get them since they are sent physically rather than scanned and sent and it may be 3-4 months before you hear.

If your child is younger, chances are someone is helping them write a letter and it's likely not the same day your child received their letter and they don't have the stuff with them anymore since it's at home, so they might not mention it, but if your stuff was to NOT go through for some reason Compassion would have told you so you can assume your child gets them unless you hear otherwise.

Also when you get a letter from your child there is usually little tiny symbols in the white bar up top. If you see one with two arrows pointing opposite directions from each other that means that it is a reciprocal letter and that the child is writing to you because they received something you sent to them.  (vs. a symbol that is a little square with a checkmark in it meaning the child is writing because it is one of the two letter writing days a year that all kids write whether they received a letter or not.  There are different symbols for first letter, final letter, thank-you letter for financial gift and thank-you letter for financial gift of $60 or more as well and you may end up with 2-3 of these symbols on one letter.)

Hello Vicki!

Yes, Teresa is exactly right. If we can not send a letter that you sent in, we will let you know by email or mail if we could not send it to your child. My suggestion would be to ask the next letter if he received your stickers and color pages if you want that confirmation from him. I do see that Ikher is five years old, and he may have someone helping him write his letters like Teresa mentioned above. When a child writes a letter to their sponsor, it could be a few weeks after they received your letter. They may have left the letter at home or it is somewhere else, and it's not in front of them. Since Ikher is so young, he may forget to mention and thank you for the letter you sent in previously. He is just so excited to write to you! If you have any further questions, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you! :)
