How does a child find out they have a sponsor?

Greetings! I am a new sponsor as of this past Saturday and I am soooo excited! I can't wait to build a relationship with my little guy. I read that it can take up to a month for a child to be notified that they have a sponsor. What does that process look like that make it take so long to be notified? I'm just curious and trying to understand how these things work. I read a blog post about how the letters get to our children and it truly amazed me the great lengths that the workers go through to get those letters to our babies. Thank you!

Hi Sierra and thank you! Is there a certain time of the month that these notifications go out or does it just vary?

That's a great question. :) It completely varies, depending on how the child is told. Some children are told when they go to their center, and some receive the notification to their home.
