I’m just wondering how long do you continue to sponsor a child for? Mine just turned 18. Didn’t know how that works. :)

Are there not still several countries that end at 18?

Jennifer, there are two countries that the maximum age is 18 years old they can be in the program. Those countries are Guatemala and Nicaragua. Some children in other countries do plan to leave when they are 18 years old, but they are able to stay until they are 22 years old. It depends on what they would like to complete and they work this out with the project staff leader. The other country that is different as well is the Dominican Republic, and the maximum age there is 20 years old. Let us know if you have any further questions and we would be happy to assist you! :)
