How long does the process take? For example, earlier this month, I signed up to sponsor a child but have not received any information from Compassion at all about my child.

Hi Heaven! Welcome to Compassion! I'm happy to answer your question today. The time it takes to setup an account will depend on how you signed up for that child. If you attended a concert, those forms are mailed back to Compassion's office and typically processed within a week's time. If you signed up online, those accounts are setup much quicker. If you call to sign up, those accounts are setup instantly. I do not see that we have an account created for you, yet. How did you sign up to sponsor a child? Did you sign up under your name?

Yes, I signed up through concert and yes, I signed under my name. I didn't have my account information with me so I only gave my contact information and the representatives there said it was okay. Later that week, I sent in my account information along with the packet information for my child.

Hi Heaven! Your information might still be in processing then if you sent in your child packet and account information later that week and due to the holiday it can take longer for these requests to be processed from events. I still don't see an account setup for you but I will keep an eye out for it and it should be setup within the next couple of weeks. Could you provide me with your child's ID number so that I can be watching out for your account?
