Could be a matter of hours or a matter of weeks.  It varies a lot.   If it stays in translation over a month, feel free to ask the social media ladies to look into it so they can see if it has gotten hung up in the computer machinery.

Hi Cara,
As Sarah mentioned, letters all get translated at different speeds depending on how many letters are already in the translation queue, how many translators work at that country office, and if we are having any computer issues at that time. We did upgrade to a new translation software a few months ago. When we upgraded we did begin to see letters go through a bit quicker, but we do know that some of our staff are having a little more trouble with the learning curve than others.
We do hope to see that as time continues, we will see letters speed up as they go through the translation process, but at the time I would say about 6 weeks is average. If your letter does go over 30 days, you are always welcome to ask us to take a look, as Sarah said. :)
