How many pages can I send my child electronically? I thought the max we could send was six, but I can only seem to create three separate pages (or four if I use Compassion's "Letter" template - which doesn't allow for a handwritten letter).

It will let me add multiple pics/scans to a single page, but that's not what I want to do. I already created a letter that's five full length pages (including a two page letter, a coloring sheet, a special page we colored for our child, and a photo page with multiple photos!).

Can anyone out there help? Am I missing something? :)

Thanks!
Connie

Hi Connie! I'm so sorry for any confusion regarding the letter writing guidelines or the way the online letter writing tool works :(. You may send up to six sheets of paper or eligible items (including a letter). When writing online, you will need to write a letter first before attaching pictures. When you get to step three, you will be able to add up to 3 pictures to the bottom of your letter and additional 5 photo pages :). I'm so sorry if this is not working right for you :(. You may be aware that we are in the process of transitioning to a new system. This system transition has caused a couple delays with processing and some glitches on the website. Please rest assured that our IT Team is aware of the issues and they are working diligently to resolve them as they arise. If the online letter writing tool is not allowing you to have up to 5 attachments and a letter, then this may be due to the system transition and I encourage you to try again a little bit later. I definitely understand your eagerness to send your wonderful letters to your kiddo, and I'm so sorry for any inconveniences this has caused. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. Have a blessed day!

I have been sending handwritten letters this month, scanned and uploaded as PNG files. I've been able to send three pages, but not six. Having planned for six, a few of my letters were three pages long and included a note about the photos I would be attaching -- oops. Instead I am sending those 24 hours later as a second letter, with a brief explanation in case they arrive separately. Any updates on this? Or have others been able to send six? If it's a tech issue still being fixed, I can keep adjusting. But just if it's my own silly mistake, I would appreciate some hints :)

Hi, Susan! I've done a whole lot more typing into the templates than uploading scanned pages, so I'm sorry to say that I don't have much detail about how long it's been going on, except I think it has been true every time I've tried.  I can upload up to five photos per photo page, but only three pages. I am using a PC, Windows 10 Pro, Google Chrome browser.

I think I know what Debi is talking about. The system has been like this ever since I got access -- mid-November. I thought it was the way it was supposed to be.  The below is for the Letter Template. Once you write the Letter (2 pages), you can put up to 3 photos at the bottom of the Letter. (what is showing below) Then you have two buttons to add a photo page, each of which you can put up to 5 photos on (But all the photos will be on one page when printed). For a total of 4 pages in the online system. There is no way I know of to add additional Photo Pages. If you use both of the Adds below, it does NOT pop up with more buttons to add more pages.  I figured if I needed to send something as long as 6 pages, front and back, I just needed to send it in paper because the online system does not accomodate it.

Debi and Sarah, I apologize for the confusion and misinformation I have provided above. Regrettably, our system has a file limit of 2-3 pages for the photo page uploading and after the limit is reached no further uploads may be made. If you would like to send more than that, I would suggest either sending a physical letter package or sending the same items spaced out via the online system rather than all in one letter. I am so sorry for the inconvenience.

Susan, does this mean there is a limit of 3 handwritten pages online (scanned as image files), but we can still send 6 pages if mailed in?

Debi, to clarify, any full page scans (otherwise known as photo pages) would have a limit of 3 pages that can be uploaded. That said, you are welcome to send up to 6 pages in the mail. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
