Does anyone have any recommendation of ways to connect with other sponsor (Compassion sponsors and / or sponsors from other organizations)? Are there any online communities / groups / forums where you can connect, share experiences / ideas? I've been a sponsor for several years now and looking for ways to connect with other sponsors, similar to the old 'Our Compassion' site which was discontinued. Is there still a Letter writing club on the Second Friday of every month like there used to be? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Carla! Laura is correct. Compassion Correspondents is a great group to connect with if you're looking for something similar to the Our Compassion site. :)

Actually, that is a different group, administrated by a sponsor. If you want to join Compassion Correspondents, you’ll need to request to be added. It’s a secret group, so an administrator or a group member can add you, I believe. You might have to be Facebook friends in order to have a member add you, though. Maybe check with Sierra; she’s an administrator in the group. You can email the Social Media ladies at socialmedia@compassion.com or maybe commenting on her post above would work.

You do need to provide us the email your Facebook account is linked to or your request will not work. If you go to Facebook and click the little arrow in the right corner, then click on "Settings", you will see the email. Please provide this to us and we can then invite you! :)

Laura, I had the email sent to you this morning. It is possible that there was an issue with the page on Facebook yesterday, causing you to not be able to view the content.
Is there another way to join? Does not work for me this way? I got the snd message as before
I had trouble as well clicking on the link, try clicking on the group name up above the button. "....invited you to join the group Compassion Correspondents" that worked for me.

Hi Laura! That's so strange. The only way we know to invite people is through the email process. Is the email address you provided us with the same email address you have linked to your Facebook account?
Laura, if you'd like, you can request my friendship on Facebook. Then I'll accept and request to add you to the group. Once you are added, we will plan to "unfriend" each other with no hard feelings. If at some point in the future we get to know each other and want to be FB friends, we can do that. :)
