Hi Jennifer! Thank you for contacting us about this! We received a letter from you on July 5, 2013 and it was dispersed to our field office in Ghana (I can't see the end date in my system but we do track each letter). It is important to keep in mind that it takes two to three months for letters and gifts to be sent. This means that your sponsored child may not have had the letter from you when he wrote his most recent letter that we sent from our USA office on October 15.

You sent a family gift and a birthday gift in July. Benony and his family have likely just received these gifts. They will then write a letter to you thanking you for your generosity and you may receive a photo of Benony with his gifts. The normal time frame on thank you letters for gifts is within four to six months of when the gift is given. This means that you can expect a thank you letter by January 17. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am more than happy to talk through the letters and the gifts at length because the letters and gifts have been shown to make a great impact in the children's lives.
