I know that It takes a few months for the letters to be sorted, and sent, but it has been a while since I have heard from my child. Is there a way to make sure that the online letters that I have sent have actually went though?

When you write a letter on our website, you should receive an email confirmation shortly after its submitted. If you did not receive an email confirmation, the letter did not go through and you'll want to send it through again. If its been longer than 6 months since you received a letter from your sponsored child, please contact us so we can contact the field office.

Shaina, I am a little worried that some of my letters did not go through that were supposed to now. I don't always get email confirmation (usually I don't ever on my sponsor kids, only my correspondents). However, on my online account, It shows they were "Sent" as they are in the "Sent" area and not the drafts. Are you saying that if we don't get email conf. those letters definitely did NOT go through? Thanks for checking into this, Kristen :)

Mine do not go into the junk folder. Someone from Compassion contacted me and was looking into it. I have not heard back as of yet.

If you want to be sure that your letters went through, you can always contact us to check. However, you should always receive a confirmation email after sending a letter. I looked at your account and it looks like we've received 20 web letters this year. Thanks for being a great writer!!

I too often will not receive confirmation emails for my online letters. This has happened since the tool was introduced. I'll write a letter to each of my five kids, and sometimes I will get a confirmation email for one or two letters, or sometime none at all! However when I talked to a Compassion rep I was told they had all gone through. This seems to be a strange glitch that occurs with some people

Thanks Shaina and Steph. It sounds like my letters may have gone through. I think I will stick with handwritten ones for a while though.

Alex, as I said above, for some reason my email notifications for written letters all seem to go into my junk mail folder for some reason.

If you write an online letter and do not receive a confirmation email (be sure to check your junk folder!), please report the issue here: http://www.forms-compassion.com/sitep...
