Hi Samantha! I am so sorry for the confusion with two donations coming out so close together. I can certainly refund you the second $38. What actually happened was you signed up to sponsor your new child on January 31st and set your automatic donations up to pull on the 1st of the month. When you sign up to sponsor a child, we do need a donation for that current month, whether the sponsorship begins on the first of the month or the last day of the month. In your case, the first donation that came out of your account was put towards the month of January, while the second donation was put towards February because it automatically came out as you had set it up to do. I sincerely apologize for the confusion and for this situation! I will refund your January donation, which may take several days to be put back in your account, and cover that month of support since you weren't aware that a donation would be needed for January.
