Good morning everyone, I hope you're doing well.  I have a bit of an odd question regarding sponsoring new kiddos.  I recently began sponsoring another child I actually chose the oldest kiddo because I feel as though led me in that direction.  I wanted to know if, in the future, there's a way to know if the young man or young lady I choose to sponsor ever had a sponsor in the past? I realize that some individuals are not able to continue sponsoring until the child completes the program.  In this case, it is always possible that my newest sponsored child recently had a sponsor who, for some reason, was unable to continue.  When Tuyisenge graduates the program next year, I'd like to choose another older child to sponsor if I am financially able.  It would be great and is a blessing to be able to sponsor any child, but I think it would be awesome to sponsor a long-waiting young adult who has never fully experienced the true purpose of the Compassion program, relationships.  Anyway, I'm rambling.  Any help on the subject would be appreciated.  Thank you so much.

You can definitely ask the social media ladies for the sponsor history of your kiddo. They can tell you how many sponsors they've had, how many letters, how many gifts, etc.  A lot of times those numbers are heartbreaking.

Hi Kasey! Sarah is right! We are incredibly grateful for your heart to bless an older child with love, support, and encouragement during their final season in the Compassion program! Many young adults in our program begin facing very intimidating hurdles and challenging life decisions. Your support may be just what they need to have hope for a bright future and the courage to pursue their dreams! We are happy to answer any questions that we can, that is not compromising privacy policies, about a child and their sponsorship history. If you would like to know about a specific kiddo, please email us at socialmedia@compassion.com with your sponsor number and the child’s number that you would like sponsorship history about. Thank you!
