Karen, I'm so sorry to hear that you have not received a letter from your sponsor child yet. I completely understand your eagerness to hear from your kiddo, and I'm happy to look into this for you. First, I would like to confirm that I have located the correct account for you. Are you sponsoring a little boy in Rwanda named Iradukunda? If not, will you please provide either your sponsor number, child's number, or the email address associated with your account? I look forward to your reply!

Hi Karen! I do see a letter from Iradukunda that was processed in early June and one in May as well. Did you receive either or both of these letters?  I currently see that your account is set up to receive the printed copies of the letters in the mail, and you should also be able to see them on the app. Can you give me a little more information on if you have seen either of these letters either in print form or on the website or app?

Yes I have recieced the letters, I just sent him a letter not to long ago and usually would hear from him sooner. Is it because I change my settings to receive a printed copy and that’s why I’m not recieving it by mobile app.

I'm amazed that you got a letter in May and in early June! and expect to have another after that already.  I am thrilled with the child I have that I receive letters from every two months. More normal seems to be 3-4 months between letters.

Hi Karen,
I see on your account that you now changed your letter delivery preference to just send you an email when a letter is ready. Please know that if you would like a printed copy of the letter as well, this will not slow anything down. The online version will still be ready at the same time and it may take us about a week or two to get you the printed copy. However, if you chose to receive the physical original, this will slow down your letters by up to three months since these need to be shipped directly from your child.
The typical process for letters does usually take a few months in between, as Sarah mentioned above. Most of our sponsors only receive letters every 3-4 months from their kiddos and some even less than that. I would encourage you to keep writing and just know that your young man will write whenever possible. Since there is a lot to learn at the project, they do not write letters every time they get together. They typically have a letter writing day about once per month, so if you child happened to miss that day, he may have wait until the next month to write back, which would cause that bit of delay. There are few things that could have happened, but nothing to worry about. :) If for any reason you ever go a full six months in between letters, please let us know and we will be happy to send an inquiry for you to ensure he is okay! :)

Yes, Karen, he is receiving your letters. He's most likely received the one you sent last month by now.

Karen, why don't you look into writing a correspondent or two.  It would give you more kids to write to, pray for, love on and to await letters from and help make the waiting time for this one boy be more bearable because you've got other kids to focus on.
