I started sponsoring my child in February of 2016, it's now October and I have not yet gotten any letters. I have sent an initial letter with photos of our family and a second letter went out a couple of weeks ago. It says to expect 2 letters a year if you don't write your child, and more letters from your child if you write to them. Why haven't I received any letters?

Angela, I am so sorry that you have not received any letters from Abaasiku since you began sponsoring him in February :(. You certainly should have at least received one by now, so I am sending an inquiry to our country office in Uganda to have him write a letter to you. We switched over to a new letter system in April, but we have been facing significant challenges with that program since then. One problem with the new system actually caused a large backlog of letters at the country offices, which is probably what the hold up has been with a letter from Abaasiku. It usually takes between six and eight weeks for us to receive a response back from the country office, but we will send Abaasiku's letter on to you as soon as they send it to us in their reply. Thank you so much for writing to him faithfully yourself while you have waited patiently for a letter from him. I know it hasn't been easy, but I am praying that it gets better for you!
