I'm an India giver. I'm discerning that I can reappropriate my funds to another child but for the darndest, I cannot figure out the rest of the steps. I do I move from my India child to another child I choose? And the funds that have been stacking up (from what I've learned) where do or did those go or will they go to my new child. Additionally, I've sponsored my child for 10 years & she was aging out of the program in May so I am one of the lucky ones who'd already begun to prepare for our good-byes; though didn't make that any easier. I've been very pleased w/ my relationship w/ Compassion & I want to encourage ya'll to keep up the amazing work of being God's hands & feet.

Brandy, thank you so much for your long term support and for your kind words of encouragement! I apologize for the confusion. If you would like to sponsor another child, please feel free to use this link and in the check out please use the drop down menu to select "India Sponsor - Selecting my next child."

You have a choice of whether you would like to re-allocate the funds that we were unable to send to India to this new child, to the Critical Needs Fund, or have them refunded. Please let me know what you decide and I would be happy to take care of the transfer of funds for you.

Hi Susan! I was appalled at some of the bitterness shared from my fellow brothers & sisters about this India debacle. I believe in y'all. Please take my funds that you already have & send towards my new little girl, Hilary. Thanks & feel blessings!

Brandy, I'm in awe of your long term sponsorship and am so thrilled to read you will be sponsoring another child! :) India has been such a sad topic to read about, my prayers have been with those children and their sponsors. It's so true that God's ways are not our ways and doors He closes are for reasons we have no understanding of. However, I am in awe that the one door He closed for you opened another to a child that He's called you to and needs your guidance through our Lord Jesus Christ. Brandy, I pray and wish you well in this new journey with Hillary and I pray for your child in India that have parted ways, I'm sure both children will be forever grateful!

Ces, I got to watch Sowmya transition from a little girl to a sweet young lady. I got to experience her broken English & writing go from poor to excellent. She called me Auntie & always told me about her mom, dad, & little brother. When I sent extra funds for birthdays & Christmas, she would tell me what she spent her money on & of course most of it went to gifts for her family. She would tell me about her relationship w/ God & how it was growing. I chose written letters so I've kept all of them. It was a sweet relationship. She went through three deployments, 5 cross country moves, & the death of my companion, a sweet dog that was killed while I was away on a mission. I encourage you with your children to just stay the course. CI is an organization full of humans which means sometimes they can make mistakes & I am fully convinced that those mistakes aren't intentional. Computer glitches happen. Countries hearts are hardened. Children die. Families take their kids out of the program... Lots of stuff can happen that we can't prepare for. I love this company & believe in them. I am so excited about this new little girl. I'm already planning to figure out a visit now that I've learned Uncle Sam will allow me to visit her homeland. I can't wait to watch her grow into a young lady like my Sowmya. These 10 years have been a blessing to me so I'm excited for many more. Feel grace, Ces, & love those babies you're helping to grow & shape. -B

Brandy, again, your kind words of encouragement and grace are a breath of fresh air! As you requested, I have submitted a request that the amount you had given for Sowmya would go to Hilary. God bless!
