Hi Bret,

I am so sorry to hear that you are thinking of canceling your sponsorship of Abner! Please know that we truly value our supporters and we would be blessed to able to help you keep your relationship with your sweet kiddo. If your request is due to a short term financial situation, Compassion would be happy to cover three months of sponsorship for you to allow you a small break from the financial commitment. This means we would completely cover the months of May through July. In addition, we would be happy to place you on a reduced rate of sponsorship for the following three months. This means that for the months of August through October your donation would be reduced to $19 per month. However, if you still feel it is best to cancel your sponsorship, please let us know and we will be happy to fulfill your wish to cancel.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Bret, per your request I have cancelled your sponsorship of Abner. If you would like to write him one last time to say goodbye to him, you are welcome to. We ask that you write, "Final Letter," at the top of your letter along with your sponsor number and Abner's number and mail this to Compassion. Thank you for the time you were able to support Abner. If you would like to sponsor a child with Compassion again in the future, we would be blessed to partner with you at that time.
