Hi Taylor. I am so sorry that you need to cancel your sponsorship. If this is due to financial concerns, Compassion may be able to assist you for some time. We would be able  to cover your support for the months of November through January, and you can begin your donations again in February. Please let me know if this would help or if we still need to cancel your sponsorship for you.

I am also in a financial situation where I can not continue sponsorship at this time, but I do feel I will be able to resume in February. May I please put my sponsorship on hold for a few months?

Paula, I am so sorry that you are going through a difficult financial position! Yes, we can certainly cover your donations, which I have done so today for the months of December through February.

I also cannot continue my sponsorship due to financial issues. I do not know when I’ll be able to continue paying so I may just have to stop for now. Could you cancel it for me please?

Emily, I am so sorry that you need to cancel your sponsorship at this time and that you are going through financial difficulties! If it would help, Compassion would be able to cover your support for the months of January through March so that you are able to focus on other financial commitments. Let me know if that would help or if you still need to cancel.

Caryn, I am so sorry that you aren't able to sponsor your child any longer and are going through a difficult financial time :(. If it would help, Compassion would be able to cover your support for the months of January through March and also reduce your sponsorship rate to $19 per month for the months of April through August. Please let me know if this would help or if you still need to cancel!

I need to cancel my sponsorship. My original child left or graduated which was perfect as I really can’t afford to sponsor a child right now do to a lot of changes in life. And then out of the blue I find out I was assigned a new child and charged for a month without me accepting this change. I don’t need a refund. One month won’t break the bank, but I don’t know when I will be financially able to support someone and really do need the extra money as I transition through this new phase in life.

Tori, I am so sorry for the confusion with this new child being added to your account after your original child left the program. I have cancelled the sponsorship of this new child today. When a child leaves the program, Compassion sends out a packet of information on a new child for you to consider sponsorship. The packet includes information stating that if you choose not to sponsor the child, we need to hear from you within 5 weeks or the child will remain on your account and funds will begin to be pulled again. It sounds like you may not have received that packet, and I am so sorry for that! Please know that I have taken care of your account this morning.

Haley, I am so sorry to hear that you are faced with such a difficult decision but I can certainly help you with whatever you need on your account today. We do have some options that may be able to help if you think that this might turn around in a few months. For example, we would be happy to cover three months' support for you and then lower your support amount to $19 for five months. Please let me know if this would help. If not, let me know and I will make your child available for another sponsor. Also, to be sure I have the correct account, please confirm if you are sponsoring Anne in Togo.

I don't want to do this, but I need to stop sponsoring my child unfortunately. This is due to financial issues. I don't think I will be able to sponsor my child again. My child is Sallim from Bangladesh.
