A canvas like this unfortunately would not be able to be sent though.  Your best bet would to be to take a good photo of the canvas or place it on a scanner and send the image online through your sponsor portal.  Alternately, if you know someone visiting your child's country in the future it could be dropped off at the country office.

Maybe you could just send the actual canvas, without the wood structure?

Any type of fabric or canvas do not meet guidelines. Items must be made of paper.

My suggestion would be to take a picture of it, and include it with an online letter, and say that you are hanging the canvas up in your house to remember her when you look at it.  A few years ago, I bought Christmas bears at Christmas, and took a picture of them, and asked the kids to name them.  They named them, and a few of the kids asked me the next year how their bear was doing.  I also did that with a birthday cake (using the same cake pic for each kid), and said that I bought that birthday cake in honor of their birthday.  The kids are well aware that they can't receive actual presents through the mail, so just say you are keeping the item at your house.
