Hi Jaelyn! Welcome to the Compassion support community! I'm so sorry that you mailed a check and your account still says that you haven't paid. :( I want to encourage you not to worry because it can take a few weeks to see your payment posted to your account when paying by check through the mail. I'm sure that your check has already made it safely to Compassion by now and you should see your payment posted to your account probably in the next week or so. Thank you for your patience as your payment is being processed and thank you so much for your generous heart in giving to help release children from poverty in Jesus' name! Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Hi Jaelyn! I see that you just recently began sponsoring Bugingo with us in Rwanda! :) I'm so excited that this sweet boy gets to build a relationship with you and I'm sorry for any worry that you're experiencing right off the bat like this :(. I'm not seeing your donation on your account yet but please rest assured that once we receive and process your donation, it will post to your account. Has your check cleared your bank yet? If it has, please let us know and we can research it further. You can send an email with the check number, the donation amount, and the date on the check and we will research it further for you. However our sponsors have been incredible generous to the children in our program and it may have just not processed quite yet. We're trying to keep up in our office with all of the donations we've been receiving over the last couple of weeks. We're a few days behind on processing these donations but we're catching up as quickly as we can and you can expect to see your donation this week :). Thanks for your patience with us and welcome to the Compassion family!

I didn't send it in a check, I sent cash! I don't have a checking account with my bank or a credit card so I just sent it in cash. That's what I had planned on doing every month! Thank you for giving me reassurance, I'm just super excited for this opportunity and want everything to go well!

Jaelyn, thanks for clarifying! We're a few days behind on processing donations but you should see this donation applied to your account in the next few days if we have received it.

I would encourage you to read our conversation on this forum about sending cash donations. We do discourage sending cash if at all possible as we cannot track this form of donation if it were to get lost for some reason and not applied to your account. If there is anyway that you're able to send your donations in the form of cashiers check in the future, or have a parent or friend that can assist you in making donations through form of credit/debit/bank account, this would be a more efficient and secure way to support your child :).
