I can't write to my child. If I get a correspondent for them, would I be able to write to them if I was able at a later time?

If I am unable to write to my child and I get a correspondent for them, will I be able to write to them later after I am able? How does the correspondent system work for the sponsor?

If you choose to have a correspondent write to your child, you will not be able to write to the child and you will not receive any letters from the child. However, you are welcome to cancel the correspondent relationship at any time and begin writing the child.
