I sponsor a boy in KE412. I received a first letter from him in August and have not heard from him since. I have sent numerous letters, packets, and a monetary gift. How long should I wait before I inquire about this?

I would inquire now. You should receive 3 letters a year, which would be one every four months. It has been five.

Hi Leslie,
I'm sorry you haven't received a letter from your child in a while. We allow six months to pass as a grace period between letters before contacting the country office. If you don't receive a letter by the end of February, please give us a call so we can contact the field office.

His birthday is coming up and I guess I will send him some money for a gift. He's still listed as active on my account. If he has left the project at some point, what would happen to the money and any unused sponsorship donations?

If he leaves our program, we will notify you and pause your contributions. If a birthday gift was sent during this transition period, the staff would make every attempt to get the gift to the child, and they almost always succeed. The only issue is when the child moves from the area and the staff does not know where they live.

I haven't heard from our sponsored child in a long time. We sent him birthday cards, presents, more cards, Christmas gift, etc. He used to keep in touch every couple of months. We haven't heard from him since August. Is there a way to tell if he's okay and if he's receiving the gifts?

10 months ago I switched to electronically writing my child and have heard nothing back from him. How do I know he is getting the letters?

I'm sorry you're frustrated, Rich. Please contact us using the tab above. You shouldn't go longer than 6 months to hear from your sponsored child. We'll need to contact our field office.

I am also wondering when I can expect to hear from my child. I haven't received any letters from her since before last September, so it's been over 6-7 months.
